Psalms 26:4

“Separation from the world based on a love of the truth and hatred for lies”

Psalms 26:4, “I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers

One of the wisest decisions you can make in life is to associate yourself with those who try to live according to the Bible and avoid and stay away from those whom live for the pleasures of this world.

The word vain means idolatries and lies. The word dissemblers means those whom turn away from the truth. Those whom turn away from God will turn to idolatry and to lying. This is why Psalms 1:1 says, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful

2 Corinthians 6:14-18, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the LORD, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the LORD Almighty

This very principle of separation is a reason that the children of God should not go to such places as Hollywood. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life and the tremendous amount of temptation that can present itself is something to stay separated from. If you want to live Godly in Christ Jesus, the best thing to do is to unit with the believers through the Word of God, through prayer, and through thanksgiving.

Psalms 26:5 says, “I have hated the congregation of the evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.” Sometimes it is good to hate. God is Holy and therefore he hates sin. We live in the last days. The mystery of iniquity is at work in this world. One mistake that many Christians have made here in the time of the falling away is to love the things that are evil instead of hating them. If you truly love Jesus Christ you will love righteousness and purity. This is why 2 Corinthians 6:14 says, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?” One of the worst mistakes Christians have made here in the last days is to misunderstand the teaching of unity through love. A follower of Christ should never compromise on the truth of God’s Word for the sake of unity because there can only be true unity and true fellowship through the truth of God’s Word and through love in the Spirit of God. I John 1:7 says, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His son cleanseth us from all sin

Psalms 26:6 says, “I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD

The word innocency can also be translated cleanness of teeth. The altar is the place of sacrifice. Jesus was sacrificed for your sins. The phrase I will wash my hands refers to repents of sin. To repent of your sins and to be made clean and given righteousness you need to turn to Jesus of Nazareth and ask Him to come into your heart. Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD Jesus Christ and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved.” To compass the Altar can best be summed up by the song, “Jesus keep me near the cross; there a precious fountain. Free to all a healing stream flows from Calvary’s mountain.”

Psalms 26:7, “That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.” The best way to stay thankful to God for the things that He has done is by keeping in remembrance How Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross for your sins and how he rose from the grave. This is the begging of all spiritual blessings; the redemption from sin though the blood of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 3:13 says, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree

The word publish can be translated hear and it can also be translated obey. The wonderful works of God are too infinite to be counted. That is why when you give thanks to Jesus it is always best to start by publishing with the voice of thanksgiving the forgiveness of sins and the eternal life that is found in Him. It is too bad more people do not hear and obey and publish the gospel of Jesus Christ.

With all the resources available to publish the gospel of Christ in our day and age including the internet and Hollywood its too bad that these tools have not been used more to publish the grace of Christ.

What has been so abundantly published on the internet and in Hollywood is great wickedness: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Revelation 18:13 says of Babylon, “And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men

The immorality, rape, murder, and slavery that has resulted as a miss use of these kinds of publications is one reason America is such a good comparison both to the Babylon of the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Revelation 6:9 says, “And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth

Christ has done many wonderful works. And what He has done for others He can do for you. He parted the red sea for Moses and the children of Israel and he delivered them from the military might of the most powerful nation in the world. Here in these last days we know that Christ will do the same for His children at the rapture because He has great mercy and wants to spare them

The day is coming however when every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is LORD.

Psalms 26:8 “LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.” Where is the habitation of the house of Jesus and where is His honour? It is not found in a building built by hands but it is found wherever the believers in Jesus are gathered together because the child of God is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Psalms 84:10 says, “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickednesss

This is the reason that in these last days the forces of evil are going to give great persecution unto the children of God. Satan wants to destroy the temple of God and to destroy the faith of God’s children. How great the suffering is going to be for God’s children during this time. However the grace of Christ is greater than the power of Satan because greater is he that is in you than He that is in the world.  God allows persecution to happen because he uses it to spread the truth of His Word and the truth regarding Jesus Christ to the lost souls of this world. Therefore from the child of God’s perspective even though suffering can be hard to bear it results in great things being accomplished for the glory of Jesus Christ in Heaven and it will result in lost souls repenting of their sins and turning to Jesus Christ of Nazareth of the Bible who died on the cross of Calvary 2000 years ago for the sins of the world.

There are special crowns and rewards to be earned by those who suffer for the gospel of Jesus Christ here in the last days.

Psalms 26:9 says, “Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men. In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.” Once again we are reminded of the principle of the separation of the believers from the non-believers. The evil men of this world whom have given themselves over to the devil will do everything in their power to tempt the children of God and to lure them away into sin. The solution is simple, separate from them, stay in God’s Word, and wait patiently for Jesus Christ. He that is faithful in little is faithful in much.

Psalms 26:11, “But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.” To walk in your integrity means to walk in the truth of God’s word and keep your sins confessed. By seeing your own sinfulness and the Holiness of God you can do this. This is done through the word of God.

Isaiah 6:1-5 says, “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphim’s: each one had six wings: with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, Woe is me! For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts

To walk in your integrity you need to understand the Holiness of Christ. This can only be accomplished by studying the written word of God, the Bible. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Redeem me, and be merciful unto me Psalms 26:11 says. Redemption and mercy go hand in hand. The word redemption comes from a word that means to buy out of the market place. Of course in the market place during the days the New Testament was written slaves were sold and bought there. Christ when he died on the cross for the sins of the World bought our souls with His precious blood.

I peter 1:18-20, “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

Man is not able to of his own strength to overcome His own sinful nature. Nor is man stronger than the forces evil. That is why we need Jesus Christ. Jesus is God. Jesus is the king of kings. He has redeemed us from the evil forces of the world and from our own sinful nature through repentance of sin unto faith in His name. This is mercy. Redemption from the slavery of sin is the mercy of God.

The day is coming when the children of God will see the great mercy and redemption of Jesus Christ. It has not come yet but that is why in these last days the children of God wait patiently on Him. If you have not turned from your sins and turned to Jesus you can do so today and receive eternal life. Ephesians 1:13-14 says, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory
