God is Love

It is hard to find true love anywhere in the world today. Most people have friends that love and care for them. But a lot of friendships today are based upon what they might benefit from that friendship. Many marriages as well have ended up in divorce. You may lose friends. You may even be in a family in which your parents have divorced, because they said they just did not love each other like they used to. But there is one today whose love is greater than all other love. This love will never fade. This love will never fail. This is the Love of God for you.

In the Holy Bible, John 3:16 says; “For God so loved the world, the he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Jesus Christ died a cruel death on the cross for all sins of the whole world. Do you realize what this means? God the Holy and Omnipotent Creator of the Universe, sent his only son to die for you and me. Jesus lived a perfect life. He never did a single thing wrong and yet this innocent little lamb was spit upon, whipped, mocked, and hung on a tree until He died. God loves us so much that He took our place and paid the price for our sins. Just as He rose again the third day after He was buried, so will we overcome death and go to heaven when we die; if we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior.

Salvation is a free gift for us. We cannot get saved through our works or by the way we live because we are all sinners. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God”. You might wonder how then do I get saved? It’s simple. Once again the Bible says: “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” If you believe in God’s only Son, Jesus Christ, and how He died for your sins, then turn to Him today. Pray to Him and admit to Him that you are a sinner and wish to turn from your sins and follow Him. If you pray this and mean it, you shall be saved forever. I did and since a wicked person like me can be saved, I know you can too. Romans 5:20 says; “Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound”. The Blood of Jesus washes away all of our sins, every one! God is love. As stated in part of a hymn that I like to sing, “Amazing love, how can it be, that thou my God shouldst die for me.”
