“The Everlasting Gospel”
The burden of the valley of vision. In a dream, in a vision of the night.
I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times. My spirit made
diligent search line upon line, precept upon precept from sea to sea from grace
to grace for a time, and times, and half a time. And when I beheld, lo! The everlasting gospel, the glorious gospel of Christ, the light of
the glorious gospel of Christ.
The LORD hath appeared of old unto us,
saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love. I passed by thee, and
looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love according to the time
of life. For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not
perish, but have everlasting life.
Sing, O heavens, and be joyful, O
earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted His
people, and will have mercy upon His afflicted. To everything there is a
season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. The LORD, He that
sweareth to His own hurt, and changeth not:
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. He changeth the
times and the seasons. But of the times and the seasons Thus
saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee. Behold, now is the
accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
When the fulness of time was come,
God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them
that were under the law. For the law was given by Moses, but
grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Honey, and
butter, Butter and honey. It is not good to each much honey. What is this that?
This is that, this is the covenant that from the sixth hour unto the ninth hour
is gone out through all the earth. For the King of saints looketh to the ends
of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven. Thus saith the LORD, Thou whom
I have taken from the ends of the earth and called thee; with lovingkindness
have I drawn thee, Thou whom I have taken this is the covenant that the day of
vengeance, and the year of my redeemed, mercy and judgment, consolation in
Christ, comfort of love, butter and honey, honey and butter, law and grace from
the sixth hour unto the ninth hour upon the cross on the sabbath day. JESUS OF
NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS, endured the cross, despising the shame. For He
hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in Him.
The burden of the valley of vision: The book of vision. Awake, awake,
put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days walk at
liberty O great eagle of the gospel of Christ. Mount up with wings. Appoint a way, that the sword may come. Also, thou son of man, appoint
thee ways, that the sword may come: law and grace,
mercy and judgment, man and maid. Appoint a way, that
the sword may come. Appoint a way, the way of a man with a maid,
that the sword may come. The sword of the LORD is filled with blood; the
blood of Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of
the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. The people that do know
their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Awake, awake, put on strength, cast
ye up, cast ye up prepare the way.
Of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation: What is the burden of the LORD?
Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid! Woe to the
rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that
cover with a covering, but not of My Spirit, that they may add sin to sin. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our LORD.
Woe! to the
crown of pride, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower. Because thine heart
is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God. Thou hast sinned: I will destroy
thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. I will cast thee
to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they
may behold thee. Woe! to the crown of pride, Woe! to the rebellious children, that cover with a covering that
they may add sin to sin. I will destroy thee, o covering cherub.
The burden of
the Word of the LORD for
Thus saith the LORD, stand ye in the
ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk there
in. The glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward. Then shall all the trees of
the wood rejoice. And I will betroth thee unto me forever; yea I will betroth
thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in
mercies.
For who hath despised the day of
small things? He that is faithful in little is faithful in much. Lie in glory everyone in his own house. Lift up a standard
for the people. Wait on the LORD Jesus Christ. Wait, I say, on the LORD. The
glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward. Thus saith the LORD, in that day when
I make up My jewels.
The Burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; a grievous
vision is declared unto me. Woe! to the land shadowing
with wings from sea to sea in half a time of grace. At ease from his youth, and
he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel
neither hath gone into captivity: As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth
over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her
wings. In all the leaves of her spring they are passed away as the swift ships.
Who crowned thee withlovingkindness and tender mercies so that thy youth is
renewed like the eagle’s? The LORD Jesus Christ King
of saints, Prince of the kings of the earth.
There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers. What
then?
Come near, ye nations, to hear and
hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein, the world, and
all things that come forth of it. Half a time of grace for grace make thee
bald, and poll thee for thy delicate children; enlarge thy baldness as the
eagle; for they are gone into captivity from thee. Enlarge thy baldness as the
eagle from sea to sea. Hast thou heard the secret of God? God loves the way of
an eagle in the air. God loves the way of a man with a maid. God is love and
God loves judgment.
The spirit lifted me up
between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God where
was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. And Behold,
the glory of the God of Israel was there. No man hath seen God at any time. Who is this that cometh this that is
glorious in His apparel? His voice like the voice of a
multitude. His throne like the fiery flame, and His wheels as burning
fire.Buning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe. The fire shall
ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out. Bewail the burning which
the LORD hath kindled. The sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring
fire.
Sea to Sea on two wings of a great
eagle they saw the God of Israel. His feet like unto fine brass and the clouds
are the dust of His feet. Feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of
peace. How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and
bring glad tidings of good things! Jesus Christ, our Redeemer.
And there was under His feet as it
were a paved work of sapphire stone, and as it were
the body of heaven in his clearness. For
He put on righteousness as a breast plate, and an
helmet of salvation upon His head; and He put on the garments of vengeance for
clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke. Who maketh the clouds His chariot:
who walketh upon the wings of the wind. And He rode
upon a cherub, and did fly. He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and
darkness was under His feet. The LORD hath His way in the whilrwind and in the
storm. His eyes like unto a flame of fire. And out of His mouth goeth a sharp
sword, that with it He should smite the nations.
For the LORD thy God is a consuming
fire, even a jealous God. For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD,
whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Set me as a seal upon thine heart, O,
Jesus! As a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel
as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire. The LORD shall go forth as a
mighty man, He shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: He shall cry, yea,
roar; He shall previal against His enemies.
Woe! to the
crown of pride. Woe! to the rebellious children, that
cover with a covering that they may add sin to sin. I will destroy thee, o
covering cherub. O covering cherub, from
the midst of the stones of fire. Jesus Christ will destroy thee. There was
under His feet as it were a paved work of saphire stone.
Son of man, take up a lamentation
upon the king of Tyrus,
the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan. Thou
art the anointed cherub that coverth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon
the holy
And the glory of the God of Israel
was gone up from the cherub, whereupon He was, to the threshold of the house.
And He called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by
his side; and the LORD said unto Him, Go through the midst of the city, through
the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh
and cry for all the abominations that be
done in the midst thereof.
Into the land of trouble and anguish,
that this is a rebellious people. Therefore have I cried concerning this. This
is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of
the LORD: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, prophesy not
unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you
out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to
cease from before us.
I have received of the Lord Jesus,
to testify the gospel of the grace of God Be thou partaker of the afflictions
of the gospel according to the power of God. Ye shall have a song, as in the
night when a holy solemnity is kept; to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord
Jesus Christ To comfort you concerning your faith in
the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ. Glorify God in the day of
visitation.
Then said I ,
Ah! LORD GOD the day of visitation. The LORD is a God of judgment. They snuffed
up the wind like dragons, their eyes did fail, because
there was no grass. The sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them. What shall the
end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
The burden of
the valley of vision. The burden of the desert of the sea.
The desert of the raging waves of the sea, foaming out of their
own shame; wandering stars from vessel to vessel, like a wave of the sea
driven with the wind and tossed. The burden of the desert of
the sea. If we confess our sins the LORD Jesus Christ is faithful to
forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Behold, the name of the LORD cometh
from far, burning with His anger, the burden thereof is heavy: His lips are
full of indignation, and His tongue as a devouring fire. Therefore hell hath
enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without mesaure: and their glory, and
their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. For
tophet is ordained of old; yea, for the King it is
prepared; He hath made it deep and large. The breath of the LORD, like a stream
of brimstone, doth kindle it. Hell from beneath is moved for Thee to meet Thee
at Thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the
earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
The LORD of hosts hath sworn,
saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to
pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: This is the purpose that is
purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon
all the nations. For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul
it? And His hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back? Worthy is the
Lamb that was slain. Who verily was foreordainedd before the foundation of the world. Who by Him do believe in God, that
raised Him up from the dead. This the purpose that the
LORD hath purposed in the whole earth.
The burden of
the valley of vision. The burden of the desert of the sea.
Lift up thine eyes now the way. Son of man, seest thou what they do? They
change the natural use into that which is against nature. Even
great abominations. Every one of you should know how to possess His your vessel in sanctification and honour. Turn thee yet
again, and thou shalt see greater abominations. Behold a hole in the wall.
Behold the wicked abominations that they do here. Behold every form of creeping
things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house. Hast thou seen
what the ancients of the house of
Therefore hear now this, thou that
art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I
am, and none else beside me. That sayest in thine heart, I shall see no sorrow.
They shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy
sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments. For thou hast
trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth
me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in
thine heart, I am, and none else beside me. Stand now with thine enchantments,
and with the multitude of thy sorceries, Thou art wearied in the multitude of
thy counsels. For this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they
should believe a lie. Peace be multiplied unto you.
Peace shall destroy many.
Thus saith the Lord God; Because thy
filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms
with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood
of thy children, which thou didst give unto them; Behold, therefore I will
gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that
thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them
round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they
may see all thy nakedness.
If that were a very little thing,
thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways. As I live saith the Lord
God,
My bowels, My
bowels! I am pained at my very heart. Thy bowels, Thy bowels! Are ye
straightened in Thy bowels?
Therefore will I bring forth a fire
from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes
upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. I am against thee,
and will draw forth my sword out of His sheath, and will cut off from thee the
righteous and the wicked. That all flesh
may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out
of his sheath: it shall not return any more. A sword, a sword is sharpened, and
also furbished: It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that
it may glitter:
Cry and howl, son of man. Smite
therefore upon thy thigh. Appoint a way, that the sword my come. Ah! It is made
bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter. Shall I
cause it to return into his sheath? The sword, the sword is drawn: for the
slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering: Thus saith the
Lord GOD.
Woe! to the
crown of pride, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower. The fire shall burn them.; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of
the flame. Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of
hail and destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overlfowing, shall cast
down to the earth with the hand. The crown of pride,
shall be trodden under feet.
The sinners in
And what will ye do in the day of
visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from afar? To whom will ye
flee for help? And where will ye leave your glory? Glorify God in the day of
visitation.
The burden of
the valley of vision. The burden of the desert of the sea.
Of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation. The burden of the LORD? What burden? The
everlasting gospel.
Woe, stay me, rise up, my love, my
fair one, As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth
over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her
wings from sea to sea. Woe! The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, The blood of Jesus Christ. the
sword the sword is drawn the glittering sword for the glorious everlasting
gospel it is furbished. The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all
sin.
The whole earth is at rest, and is
quiet. They break forth into singing. Behold their sitting down, and their
rising up; I am their music. Take me up and cast me forth. If
I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. The Son of man
must be lifted up. Who is this Son of man? Christ Jesus the King of saints.
Why trimmest thou thy way to seek
love? O sleeper? Arise, call upon thy God. And fullfill all the good pleasure
of His goodness: the way of a man with a maid, the way of an eagle in the air,
the old way-the way of Adam and Eve.
Thou hast heard, see all this. The
LORD hath created a new thing in the earth: the everlasting gospel. I have
shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things and thou didst not
know them. They are created now, and not from the beginning. I have chosen thee
out of the furnace of affliction. They that do know their God shall be strong
and do exploits. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my
God. O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.
Is not my Word like as fire? Because of the Words of His
holiness the morning cometh and also the night.
A watcher and a holy one came down
from heaven having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the
earth. And that He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth
live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again. Who
died for us? Jesus died and rose again that whether we wake or sleep we should
live together with Him.
Like a pelican in the wilderness
like an owl of the desert we have waited for Thee, O LORD, in half a time of
grace for grace, be gracious unto us. Hiss for us and gather us for Thou has redeemed us and we shall increase as we have increased. Half a time of grace for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Half a time of grace that we may win souls. Half a time of grace that we may win Christ.
The Burden of the desert of the sea. O great eagle with great wings and many feathers they
have heard evil tidings. They are faint hearted. There is sorrow on the sea; it
cannot be quiet. O thou sword of the LORD how can it be quiet, seeing the LORD
hath given it a charge. Mount up with wings as eagles. O great eagle with great
wings and many feathers, fluttereth over thy young, spread abroad thy wings,
take them bare them on thy wings in all the leaves of thy spring. For thy
delicate children was the gospel preached for they are gone into captivity from
thee.
Lo, In a
dream, in a vision of the night I beheld The everlasting gospel, the glorious
gospel of Christ, the light of the glorious gospel of Christ. If a man die, shall he live again? My redeeemer liveth and He shall stand at that
latter day upon the earth. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life.
Therefore behold, now is the time of love, the way of a man with a maid in
Christ Jesus. Then said I, Ah, Lord God! We will walk at liberty like a tree
planted by rivers of water. At length we will have a prosperous journey in the
way, world without end.
