Isaiah 63:4

“The day of vengeance is in mine heart”

The Bible says in Isaiah 63:4, “For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.” Vengeance and redemption: these two words are like law and grace. They are different and yet they go together. The glorious gospel of Jesus Christ is a message of both mercy and judgment. Psalms 101:1 says, “I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing

“For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.” The wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Vengeance and redemption, mercy and judgment, law and grace this is the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

2013 almost 2014 years ago Jesus Christ the only begotten son of God came to the earth born of a virgin. For 33 years He lived a life without sin and then died on the cross taking the vengeance, the judgment, the law of God upon Himself and rising from the grave three days later that all whom call upon His name might have mercy, grace, and redemption in Him.

I Timothy 3:16,  “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory

For over 2000 years the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ has been preached in this world. It is the age of grace. Grace, grace unto it. Nonetheless though God does change the way that he deals with mankind, God does change. The age of grace will not last forever. There have been time and times and now there is half a time or as one might says half time; 237 years of half a time of grace.

Today will not last forever it will last for 24 hours. The age of grace will not last forever it will only last until Chris twinkles His eye at His Chaste Virgin and then will come the 7 years of the great tribulation. Yes there will still be opportunity for those in the great tribulation to hear the gospel and to be saved. But the opportunity of this age is coming to an end. This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come. Little children, it is the last time. Even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. Now is the time of love.

In finishing up the age of grace with grace, in fulfilling all the good pleasure of the will of God, in seeking that ye may excel, in becoming the apple of God’s eye, in having God say to thee “Thou art greatly beloved,” in having God say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant,” Remember that the Bible says he that winneth souls is wise.  Proverbs 11:30 says, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”When I think about this human life all I can say is it is all gospel to me: the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In thinking about the gospel of Jesus Christ two verses should come to mind: Isaiah 63:4, “For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is comeAnd 2 Thessalonians 1:8, “in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ Vengeance and redemption in flaming fire: in both vengeance and redemption I will mention the lovingkindness of the LORD.

Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” God is a God of grace. Grace is what God gives freely and what God gives freely as a gift is always good. In thinking about grace a Christian should think about giving to God. What God wants you to give to Him are souls. Proverbs 11:30, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise

God through His Son Jesus Christ has given me forgiveness of sins; eternal life; His friendship; His love and His lovingkindness; all the good pleasure of His will; and the eternal riches of God which have never in thought even entered into the heart of man. Ife I dreamed a dream and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me, Ife I dreamed a dream, and, lo, ife I shouldst see that which eye hath not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man concerning the things which God hath prepared for them that love him then surely amidst such visions of pleasure and beauty and eternal splendor in the presence of Christ Jesus; then surely then I would desire all the more to reach out to the lost souls of this world whom are lost in their sins and whom are in danger of wrath of God. Isaiah 63:4 says, “For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come

This is the purpose that I have purposed in the whole earth that all mankind both man woman and child might be touched by the Spirit of God and when the shadow of the glory of God passes them by that they might hearken with listening ear and give heed with humble heart to the good news of the forgiveness of sins in Jesus Christ. O! Yes it tis true that God is love. O yes tis true, that Jesus suffered and died on the cross and rose from the grave.

But in thinking about the gospel of Jesus Christ think about the word vengeance. The day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. In flaming fire shall God take vengeance on those whom obey not the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Vengeance and redemption, mercy and judgment, law and grace: Jesus the Lamb of God on His cross and Jesus Christ the king of kings on His throne in judgment.

When you think about the eternal value of a human soul and when you think about the gospel of Jesus Christ be sure to give some though to hell; the lake of fire and all the fire of the jealousy of God. He spared not His own Son. Shall He spare those whom reject His son?

In the New Testament of the Bible it says concerning those among sinful mankind whom refuse to repent of their sins to Christ Jesus, “shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power

Ezekiel 5:13 says, “Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.”God must be comforted. God will be comforted. God shall be comforted: Comforted from all the sin that men have done and comforted from all those whom blaspheme the Holy Spirit of God.

The LORD has spoken it in His zeal. This is the purpose I have purposed in the whole earth. Rise up, my love, my fair one, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: Glorify God in the day of visitation.

After Jesus died on the cross He laid in the grave for 3 days. Psalms 68:18 says,   “Thou hast ascended on high, Thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them

While Jesus was in the grave Jesus was in hell suffering for the sins of the world. Hell is a place of justice, a place of judgment, a place of separation from God. Therefore hell is a place of fire and brimstone where all the fire of the Jealousy of God burns vehemently in the zeal of God’s holiness and all those in hell shall in their burning and in their eternal judgment behold Jesus as he suffered for their sins.

They spend their lives turning away from the truth. They spend their lives hating God. They spend their lives corrupting and destroying the lives of others. They spend their lives resisting the will and the Word of God. They spend their lives in the vileness of sin. Therefore in hell they shall spend eternity obeying the gospel of Jesus Christ and thinking about their own sinfulness

Perhaps in hell those in hell will even have a vision a view of the cross and of Jesus suffering as he suffered in hell for their sins. Who hath woe? Who hath sorrow? Who hath regret and hardness of heart? Yes justice tis true but also travesty that a soul should choose of one’s own free will to reject the love of Jesus. To spend eternity burning in fire and thinking about the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ is justice indeed against those who refuse to repent of their sins. This is the vengeance of God. This is the justice of God. This is the judgment of God and both the fate and eternal destiny of all whom refuse to turn away from their sins to the grace of God.

Isaiah 63:4 says, “For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.” 2 Thessalonians 1:8 says, “in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ

Hast thou heard the secret of God? He that winneth souls is wise. Daniel 12:3 says, “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever

No lie is of the truth. Therefore lie not against the truth. The truth is always true. A lie is never true. God cannot lie and therefore we know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is truth and the true grace. There is no other gospel there is no other righteousness than that which is imputed by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. There is no other way to have eternal life. There is no other way to enter heaven. There is other no other way to escape the wrath of God and the wages of sin. For whatsoever a man soweth that shall he reap. No lie is of the truth. Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is LORD to the glory of God the father. Knowing this we and being set for the defense of the gospel we also know that in both vengeance and redemption in both mercy and judgment in both law and grace the gospel of Jesus Christ is the destiny for both them that perish and them that believe.

The LORD has spoken it in His zeal and the LORD Jesus Christ shall be comforted. Isaiah 63:4 says, “For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come
