Ezekiel 21:1

 

 

“Therefore shall my sword go forth.”

 

Ezekiel chapter 21:1-5 says, “And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel, And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked. Seeing then that I will cut off form thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north. That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more

 

 

2600 years ago Ezekiel the priest preached the Word of God.  The message that God told Ezekiel to give was a message of judgment; judgment against the nation of Israel for its sins. It is God, the almighty God that judges all nations. Yes God is a God of grace, a God of love, a God who loves to forgive but The LORD God Jesus Christ must judge sin. Every nation has its appointed time of judgment.  Ife God judged even the nation of Israel, God’s chosen people, will He not judge other nations including the United States ife they do not repent of their sins?

 

 

In talking about the judgment of God what is mentioned is the sword. A sword is an instrument of war. Until modern times the sword was the chief instrument of war on the battle field, until the invention of the gun. In talking about judgment and in talking about a sword, a sword can be symbolic of words, especially the Word of God.

 

 

We live in days and times of war. Here in the United States it still is chiefly a war of words. The pressure of political correctness, the slavery of political correctness, the fear and the weakness of men to speak the truth is the war. A sword conquers and puts men into slavery. A sword destroys. Is God bringing judgment upon the United States? Yes. It is a judgment done with words, political correctness, liberalism, lies, government controlled education…words.  The sword of words, even the words and phrases that are used in laws that are passed in this country that are unconstitutional.

 

 

To understand just how words can be a sword notice the word liberalism.  The word liberal really is the same word as the word liberty, one is an adjective and one is a noun. Liberty is suppose to mean freedom. Liberty is a word associated strongly with the United States or at least it use to be. The statue of liberty. How about the Constitution of the United States which says, “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of AmericaThe blessings of liberty. The word liberty is used in the King James Bible. Notice the word liberalism which is used today. It often is used here in the United States to refer to a political movement. A moment of people that are against freedom, against the way of a man with a maid, against the constitution of the United states and of course against freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

 

There is always the freedom, the liberty to do and to choose to do what is right. No one, no government no chains be they chains of iron or chains of sound no chains can take away the God given liberty to do what is right. But notice the difference from 1776 and now 237 years later here in the United States in regards to the way the word Liberty is used in the word Liberalism. Yes the sword is drawn the sword is drawn for the slaughter it is furbished to consume because of the glittering.

 

 

God can use His Word and God can use any words as a sword of judgment upon a nation. In a country in which the constitution states, “freedom of speech.” To behold such great pressure against freedom of speech especially the speaking forth of the truth be it the Word of God or even political truths, is a war and even a judgment of God on a nation which has begun turning into the slaveries of satellite technology, whoremongers, drugs, idolatry, devil worship, and homosexuality.  This is a war and a judgment, a battle for freedom here in the United States that has been raging since the 1950’s. It was in the 1950’s prayer was banned from public schools. It was in the 1960’s the sorceries of drugs began to enslave America. It was in the 1970’s the killing of babies began to be called legal abortions. It was in the 1980 and the 1990’s Hollywood began to really promote homosexuality. Here in the last few years even the news and the leaders of our country are promoting homosexuality.

 

 

The United States of America is suppose to be a half time of grace. This means there should be freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and the right to pursue life. Those that oppose sexual morality, those that oppose marriage between a man and a woman, those that oppose the boldness of the gospel of Jesus Christ oppose freedom.

 

 

“A Sword, A sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering.” Hebrews 4:14, says “For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart  Jeremiah 23:29 says , “Is not my word like as a fire? Saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock into pieces?” Isaiah 34:5 says, “For my sword shall be bathed in heaven.” Isaiah 34:6 says, “The sword of the LORD is filled with bloodThe blood of Jesus Christ.  2 Thessalonians 1:6-10 says, “Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe.”A sword, A sword is drawn. For the slaughter it is furbished. To consume because of the glittering. The Word of God is drawn to give out both mercy and judgment through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

Drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land and say to the land Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked. Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north.

 

 

Drop thy word toward the holy places. To drop means to prophesy. Song of Solomon 4:11 says, “Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb:” Song of Solomon 5:13 says, “his lips like lilies, dropping sweet smelling myrrh

 

 

There is no sword in this world more powerful than the sword of the LORD, the word of God.  When we consider how powerful the words of God are then we can see how gentle and gracious God is in the given of His Word. His lips are like lilies dropping sweet smelling myrrh. The truth must be preached. Mercy and judgment in Jesus Christ law and grace in Jesus Christ must be prophesied. This is the gentleness of the judgment of God upon those whom need to turn from their sins to Jesus.

 

 

In talking about the sword of the LORD and the judgment of God Ezekiel 21:4 says, “I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked  The words cut off can mean to make a covenant or to destroy. God has a covenant the covenant of judgment for both the righteous and the wicked. For those whom turn from their sins to Jesus Christ it is a covenant of eternal life and forgiveness of sins. For those who refuse of their own free will to repent of their sins to Jesus the covenant is a covenant of judgment. I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked. In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power.

 

 

In looking at the judgment of God against Israel in the time of Jeremiah and Ezekiel we can see a pattern which is repeating itself here in the United States. Babylon conquered the nation of Israel. Babylon took away many of the Jews into captivity and slavery. In the process of this happening Israel suffered economic hardship, Israel lost much of its freedom as a nation, Israel became a nation ruled by another nation, many of its citizens were slain by the sword. History repeats itself because men all men are sinners.

 

 

Of course Israel lived under the law and we live in the age of grace. However there are some similarities to these events occurring in the United States over the course of the past 25 years.  The USA is steadily suffering economically. Crime is increasing dramatically in the United States including slavery mostly as a result of sexual immorality and whoremongering and homosexuality. Diseases are greatly on the rise in the United States including Hiv and other sexually transmitted diseases. The cases of missing children and women are greatly on the rise in the United States. The amount of serial killers ravaging the country is on the rise. Gangs are on the rise. Citizens of the United States are being kidnapped and stolen away to other countries never to be seen again. This is a very similar circumstance to what happened to Israel in the days of Jeremiah and Ezekiel.

 

 

It is true you can look at any country in this world and you will problems with slavery, crime, drugs, battles over religious freedom, freedom of speech, and many other issues. The world is the same anywhere you go when it comes to the battle of the truth and the battle over the souls of men. But in talking about the judgment of God and the power of the Word of God notice  what Ezekiel 21:3 says, “And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.” I am against thee. There is nothing worse than for God to be against thee.  The word against is a simple preposition the word is found in Genesis 6:6, “And it repent the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heartAt his heart. Against, at.  Gensesis 6:6 refers when God destroyed the world with a flood.  Any nation can find itself in the situation of God being against them. Who is God against? God is against those that are against Him. Jesus said in Matthew 12:30,  “he that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad

 

 

I think that despite the tremendous problems in the United States with drugs, violent murderous crime such as child slavery and molestations, and despite how little honesty there in the new media, and despite the devil worship going on in this country and at the white house, I think God still would like to use the United States for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  God judged Israel. And Israel is not any other nation in the world. Israel is the only nation in the world with a promise to be preserved as a nation forever. What the United States needs to do is be a half of grace for the World this means following the constitution of the United States. This also means stop killing the Christians. This responsibility is the responsibility of the government to do what is right. Take homosexuality for example. Now because of freedom in a country a person has the freedom to choose to what is right or not. But laws such as those which have been passed in California which state that is unconstitutional to rehabilitee someone from being homosexual to being straight are unconstitutional laws. It is against freedom to try to make someone homosexual. It is also against freedom of religion to try to make someone homosexual. You always have the freedom to do what is right regardless of what the rest of the world does. God loves freedom. God wants the Gospel of Jesus and the good news of eternal life in Jesus Christ to be given to all. To oppose this in any country puts that country in danger of the judgment of God.  This is the reason nations rise and fall in the world. No other reason. 

 

 

Ezekiel 21:21, “I will overturn, overturn, overturn it“I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.” Yes, the righteous and the wicked. In Perilous times even here in the age of grace when the righteous are cut off from a nation through persecution and martyrdom it is a judgment on a nation because righteousness exalts a nation. When God chooses in His judgments to cut off the righteous from a nation then God is bringing judgment upon a nation.  The righteous, Christians, are people who understand their own sinfulness and rely upon the forgiveness of sins in Jesus Christ. Christians tend to be the best law abiding citizens in any country, the ones who pay their taxes, the ones who support freedom and value human life, and the ones who always excel the best at what they do because of the favour of God upon them. When there is persecution in a country and martyrdom of Christians and there just about is in all countries of the world God is allowing it. It is a judgment and also a sign of coming judgment upon a nation if that persecution does not stop.

 

 

 

Song of Solomon 5:13 sasy, “his lips like lilies, dropping sweet smelling myrrh The sword, the sword is drawn. For the slaughter it is furbished: to consume because of the glittering. Ezekiel 21:4-5 says, “Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north: that all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return anymore

 

 

Yes tis true the truth can be hard to hear especially for those who are lost in their sins and are children of wrath and slaves of the devil. But the lips of Jesus drop sweet smelling myrrh the myrrh of the healing found in the forgiveness of sins through the blood of Jesus Christ. By the Word of the LORD the heavens and the earth were formed. How powerful indeed is the Word of God. The preaching of the Word of God is the gentleness of God, the preaching of the word of God is the lovingkindness of God reaching out through the Spirit of God and through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

 

Ife you cannot stand to hear the gentleness of God what shall happen to you in the day of judgment? God is a God that loves judgment. Judgment can mean mercy and judgment can also mean punishment. There is a time for grace and there is a time for judgment. God hates homosexuality. God hates slavery. God hates whoremongering. God loves life. God hates murder. God hates hatred. God loves liberty. God hates liberalism. The time for judgment is coming. Look afar off and consider the judgments falling already upon the nation of the United States. There is a need for men to turn from their sins to Jesus. The sword, the sword is drawn for the slaughter it is furbished to consume because of the glittering. Do you want liberty or liberalism?

 

 

“I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.” The righteous and the wicked are being cut off in this country. Christians are being jailed, murdered, burnt on crosses in Hollywood and many many other things. You most likely will not hear these truths on the news. But the wicked too are being put into judgment. When however you see the righteous in a nation being cut off then that should be a very strong warning about the indignation of the LORD. The name of the LORD cometh from afar burning in His anger. The burden thereof is heavy and His lips are full of indignation. Psalms 132:8, “Thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name

It shall not return anymore. In other words once God decides to do something Then He does it  no matter what. No one can stop the will of God.  It is true that God sometimes repents of the judgments that He would do. Because Yes God has a permissive will that is to say sometimes what God does is in response to what man does because God has given man a free will. But there is a time and a season for everything. This means there is a time for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be preached unto the world. There is a time for warning of the judgment of God and pleading to men to accept the grace and the lovingkindness of God. And then there is a time for the judgment of God.

 

 

Ezekiel 21:3, “Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked. Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north

 

 

From the North and the South I am against thee because of the slaveries of thy satellites because of thy homosexuality because of thy devil worship here in the United States. We see the warning signs in this country; we see the economic hardships increasing, we see the slaveries of the government controlled schools, We see the diseases, the hiv, we see the pressure against freedom of speech, we see the persecution and murder of Christians and those exercising freedom of speech against the government.  The judgment of God is coming. God hates homosexuality. It is a righteous thing for God to recompense tribulation on those that persecution and trouble His children. I am against thee saith the LORD. Mayhap God will repent if the United States turns back to upholding its constitution. You don’t have to agree. But Ife people in this country and the government of this country of the United States would follow the constitution then God would bless this country again. You are not following the constitution of the United States. Maybe things will improve in this country maybe not. The trend for the past 20 years however has been an increase in the perilous times. Turn from your sins to Jesus.

 

 

The sword the sword is drawn. For the slaughter it is furbished. To consume because of the glittering. Therefore shall my sword go forth out his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north.
